Alexander Liß will present the research paper "Auditing effects of acquired intangibles" at the 9TH EIASM Workshop on Audit Quality , which will be held from September 30th to October 01st in Milan. Further authors of the paper are Prof. Sönke Sievers and Prof. Dr. Jan Riepe (University of Tübingen).

On Friday (February, 3rd 2023) at 14.15 in P 7. 2.01  Thorsten Schrimpf (Partner) from Grant Thornton will give a guest lecture (in German) on "Analyse und Prüfung des Lageberichts" in the module "Financial Accounting 2".

In the summer semester of 2023 Prof. Sievers is on a research sabbatical. The module "W2285 - Company Valuation" will therefore not be offered. However, there will be a repeat exam. The lecture as well as the tutorial of the module "W5284 - Business Analysis and Valuation" will be held digitally. However, the repetitory will be held in presence. The module "W5286 - Digitalization in Taxation and Accounting" will take place as usual.

Exchange between researchers and practitioners is highly important in the TRR266. Today Alexander Schmitz from BCG held a guest lecture  about “Information Processing in M&A Transactions”. At 11st November Amira Shala and Elena Gilles from PwC will give a guest lecture in the module "Financial Accounting I". The topic will be "The Sustainability Jungle: Non-financial reporting for financial institutions".

Information preparation and processing is a central challenge and is examined within the framework of TRR 266 "Accounting for Transparency". These two topics are of outstanding importance, especially in M&A transactions.
